The Leica DMC2900 is a digital USB 3.0 microscope camera with a 3.1 Megapixel CMOSsensor.
It is an ideal tool for brightfield microscopic standard applications in research, life science and industry that often require capturing, documenting and analyzing color images at optimum visibility of microstructures in little time.
Its USB 3.0 interface and the reliable 3.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor allow a live image speed of up to 30 frames per second.
The Leica Application Suite (LAS) provides for excellent color rendering and fast image processing especially when capturing multiple images in mosaics or in z-stacks. The camera is fully compatible with the LAS and its many add-on modules.
Get your images high speed – the USB 3.0 interface will provide you with fast live images at up to 30 frames per second at XGA-resolution. This will make setup and focusing of your samples convenient.
The USB 3.0 interface makes the camera compatible with notebooks and computers alike. Screw locks secure the camera firmly so that you can even move your notebook around and still have the benefit of a reliable power and data connection. The camera is downwardly compatible with USB 2.0.
The camera uses a powerful CIE-Lab color engine and therefore offers real time image processing with stable live image speed – also when applying shading or sharpening to the live image.
The camera’s reliable CMOS color sensor offers 3.1 Megapixel – the most commonly recommended resolution for microscopy at high to very high magnification. A removable UV/IR cutoff filter protects the sensor from invisible light and dust.
The camera is fully compatible with the Leica Application Suite (LAS) for image processing, analysis and archiving. Image-capturing is especially fast when doing z-stacks for multi focus or montage imaging.
The camera is fully compatible with LAS AF, recommended for advanced life science research with widefield microscope systems. It can also be easily extended by additional software packages to match the users need.
