I.Miller Precision Optical is a family owned and operated microscope sales & service business, now in its 4th generation. Founded by Irv Miller in 1936, we have been serving the educational, industrial and clinical microscope markets for almost 90 years.

I.Miller is the regional exclusive Leica dealer for NY, PA, MD, NJ, VA, DC, and DE.

We have a high level of expertise in all microscopy applications, ranging from the most basic monocular, binocular or stereo zoom configuration to digital imaging integration, measuring and optical inspection process automation.

POSITION SUMMARY:

I. Miller Precision Optical, a 4th generation family-owned business, is looking for an Industrial Sales Engineer to cover Maryland, Delaware, and Washington DC to sell their complete breadth of Optical Products. The role will be based on selling primarily to Industrial accounts (any segment that is either designing or manufacturing some type of technology) roughly 60-70% of the time and also calling on Universities/Colleges to sell teaching microscopes. You will be responsible for taking over and maintaining existing customer relationships, as well as creating new ones. Products include Leica compound and stereo microscope solutions, remote/robotic microscopes systems, microscope cameras, imaging software and a wide assortment of other related items.

·        Software understanding

·        Overnight travel within the territory is approximately 20-30%.  Longer overnight stays at company HQ in Willow Grove PA may be required for onboarding training purposes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Education BS/BA or equivalent.  Science and Engineering background would be a bonus, but not required.

·        Strong technical acumen

·        Experience with industrial-focused sales is strongly preferred

·        Microscopy experience is a plus but is not required

·        Must demonstrate initiative and ownership in managing a sales territory

·        Must possess exceptional communication skills both written and oral

·        CRM usage experience (Salesforce.com preferred)

·        Must have high speed internet access at home

·        Must have their own car
